![]() Today there's a special preview of Leee Black Childers photographs. Leee was a key figure in Andy Warhol's factory and stage managed his play Pork. Friendly with all the Warhol superstars he photographed them all. Leee will be attending the event so it's a good occasion to meet him.
He helped David Bowie create his Ziggy Star Dust image and was his tour manager and then toured with Iggy Pop. Then he managed the Heartbreakers and brought them over to the UK to join the Sex Pistols and the Clash on the Anarchy Tour. ![]() Leee's close friends included Debbie Harry, Lou Reed, David Bowie, Iggy Pop, Johnny Thunders, Malcolm Maclaren, Andy Warhol, Vivienne Westwood, Levi & the Rockats, Sid Vicious, Jayne County, The Star Spangles and many more who are all captured in his iconic photographs. He is understood to be of the main photographers documenting the early punk years and a witness of pop culture history. He has toured all over the world and even been arrested in Russia by the KGB. Another photograqpher, Peter Baker will also be showing a selection of his excellent very colourful world photography. Having travelled extensively in recent years, Peter is now back in London ready to show you the best of his findings. Come and meet Peter and have a glass of wine with him and view his excellent work. Come to the London West Bank Gallery anytime between 6pm and 10pm this Monday the 10th October to share a glass of wine with Leee Black Childers and view his photos priced from £95 to £950.
