The Arts & Crafts market is back in Tavistock Square.

A dozen traders selling a variety of mostly handmade goods including fine art and photography, upcycled denim and vintage vinyl, drawing and illustration, jewellery, handicrafts, stoneware and more have taken advantage of a special introductory offer aimed at injecting vitality into the newly-refurbished square between Basing Street and Portobello Road (‘Portobello Square’).

Arts & Crafts traders include award-winning photographer Steve Ullathorne, Corinne White of Eco-rinne, and Karl Hildebrandt of Carlos the Jackal. Later this summer, on Saturday 30 June, the market will welcome Market Enterprise Launch Pad winner Emily Ellen Dell to her first day selling original ‘Girl on a Swing’ canvases and souvenirs featuring unique drawings and paintings of many local and London landmarks.

The market will have its official relaunch on Saturday 24 March. Interested members of the public can find details on how to book a place by following @rbkc_markets on Twitter, liking www.facebook.com/rbkcmarkets or visiting www.rbkc.gov.uk/streetmarkets .

The six stalls closest to Portobello Road will have access to new electrical points embedded underground, and the square will benefit generally from new high-quality paving, lamp columns, tree lighting, circular benches, and come Christmas time, a tree pit designed to hold a 20-foot live Christmas tree - sure to be a real attraction during an important time of year for market traders.
