The Kensal Town Fund (KTF) will be back at The Masons Arms, Harrow Rd. on Friday 12th February to help raise funds for those affected by the Haitian earthquake. There has already been an incredible response from our local volunteer force, thanks to all of you!
I know many people have been moved by the harrowing scenes. We are always up for raising funds for local people who are involved in Charity work - if anyone is involved in this Haitian disaster, we are eager to help in any way we can. For obvious reasons we can't give to unregistered Charities, but we are keen to hear your suggestions.
Anyone who would like to contribute their time, energy or equipment to the event, or any more bands or DJs who would like to be involved, please let us know, or get in touch with Hugh on 07767216931.
As I said the feedback so far has been superb, as ever I am humbled by the good will. As we have done before in response to the Asian Tsunami, Pakistani Earthquake and the Burmese Hurricane, finding people involved on the ground who are known locally is key to the KTF: this gives us all a sense that the funds are actually going to real people, linking communities. We feel this policy is key to making the Kensal Town Fund unique, so lets keep it going and move this West London Thing forward and up!
As always the KTF hopes to put on a wide range of talent; from Bands, Djs, Opera singers, Burlesque and Dancers. Our parties are always glorious and a great way to help raise money for worthy causes.
I want to personally thank all of you performers, sound engineers and staff for generating the excellent reputation we have for having real happenings, but the greatest thanks go out to our fabulous crowd; if I had a penny for every time someone said 'what a great crowd' I would be a millionaire ! Thanks all of you; you make it happen!
All profits from ticket sales will go to charities on the ground in Haiti.
