The Dock Christmas Market

Tom Dixon hosts an extraordinary collision of food, design and fun in the water-side estate of Portobello Dock, Ladbroke Grove.

The oldest candle manufacturer in Europe, Cire Trudon, launches in the Tom Dixon Shop as part of The Dock Christmas Market. The boutique producer, who has in the past made candles for Napoleon and Marie Antoinette, are selling a collection of candles with scents based on a broad range including the mists of Balmoral and the Dada cultural movement.

A dramatic installation of scented bubbles is being created by world renowned perfumer, Francis Kurkdjian who has previously presented the spectacle in the Chateaux of Versailles. Experts from both French perfume houses are on hand to give advice on their specialist collection of perfumes, candles and room sprays.

Food stalls line the cobbled terrace with an array of cheese, charcuterie and confectionary. Fresh design arrivals are showcased in the Tom Dixon shop including pottery from Gurli Elbaekgaard and canvas and leather totes from Pokit.

PLAYLAB are operating a production line in the workshop allowing visitors to produce personalised cards, tags and gift boxes using a unique and playful pattern editing process.

Traditional home-made cakes are being served at the quintessentially British Molly’s Tea Room.  Kitsch floral crochet tea-cosies are sold alongside an exclusive blend of tea provided by Postcard Teas.
