The much debated project is currently under public consultation.
The plan will completely change Old Oak Common into a new city with 12000 new homes and 20 million square feet of office and commercial space.
Old Oak Common railway station (or Crossrail Interchange) is to be constructed on the site of the Old Oak Common railway depot, approximately 0.5 kilometres (0.31 mi) south of Willesden Junction station with an estimated opening date of 2026.
Journey times between London and Birmingham will decrease from 84m to 49, and to Manchester from 128 to 68m. Within London, Canary Wharf in 20 minutes and to Heathrow or central London in 10 minutes
