Free tickets offer for The Experimental Sex Tape
That's right! The Source Mag and the people behind this music project decided to offer free tickets to those who find themselves in dire straits: buy-one-get-one-free offer for the less well off. It's a recession busting offer!
The lineup is generally kept low key but to put you in the picture the Sextet is made up of the following ... Jim Hunt (Primal Scream, ex Amy Winehouse), Martin Slattery (The Hours, Mescalaros), Sam Beste (ex Amy Winehouse), Dale Davis (ex Amy Winehouse), Troy Miller (Roy Ayers, Soweto Kinch). The special guest on [t.est] #1 was Flood. There's no stage, just the musicians on the floor with projectors (by http://www.2bitpunk.com) strapped to a fake palm tree!
This is not your usual mad Friday out but it's a very promising music event. This time around they are joined by Harry Dearness (Kevin Cormack, London based Scott, found cassette tape soundscapes) and Leafcutter John as the special guest (http://planet.mu/artists/Leafcutter_John).

The Experimental Sex Tape is a collective that has evolved from a series of experimental recording sessions, undertaken for the sole purpose of fully exploring the musical possibilities outside of and beyond the limits of the individual.
Through these sessions we realised given the appropriate environment, this concept could be taken, and moved seamlessly into a live experience for the performers and audience alike.
Our aim is to transmit some of the sense of wonder that we have felt about the potential for like minded musicians to compose collectively, and transcend the ‘goto’ or cliched!
We gather for these events without any preconceived notion of what we're going to do, the only aim is to create a sound that has never been heard before and could never be performed again.
