This EP marks the official launch of The Graphic into the music industry.
The Graphic started in May 2012 playing in local venues for promoters Micky P, James Simmins and Wade Bayliss amongst others. Since then their sound changed and has become more matured and confident. They have also gigged their unique grunge/punk/indie styled songs all over London in venues such as Scala, Barfly, Notting Hill Arts Club and The Garage as well as countless other venues.
Our very own top music
writer James Simmins said: "The band's sound incorporates some quite diverse elements that mix older and more modern styles - Black Sabbath played with a New Wave energy, to create a sound that is sometimes slightly reminiscent of Nirvana or Radiohead. Laurent Shinar's howling vocal style is uncompromisingly punky and the dark subject material of any of his songs (such as "Up or Down" in which he ponders his fate whilst standing before the gates of hell), displays an uncompromising attitude.”
The release of this EP is aimed specifically at management as they are looking to expand The Graphic and play to bigger audiences.
