Has the art world lost direction? Find out today at the 20th Century theatre from 6.30 - 9.30pm
Red House Yonder; a new art collective set up by 4 forward thinking artists. They are St Ives' artists Sam Bassett and Liz Hough, London based artist Peter Templeton (the founder) and Jerez born Gabriel Granados. All feel that the art world has slightly lost direction, with artwork often being bought as a status symbol rather than because it is something that talks to you. They believe we can learn something from the fashion world or publishing industry where art can be accessible to everyone. The one off oil, similar to couture, for the collector, the original print, like designer labels, for those with the larger budget, and the print series for the art lover on a shoe string, in the fashion world, highstreet.

The April event aims to surprise its guests; to change the way they view art. Guests will be taken on a bit of a journey of the artists' work. Displayed artwork will be combined with theatre, music, poetry and participatory goings on. The evening will enable those who want to, to join in, and those who don't, to have fun watching. Moro and Williams and Humbert are sponsoring the event so there will be some yummy grub and fine fino sherry to accompany the impressive artwork.
As well as the founding artists, the april event will include guest artists William Templeton, Tony Smith (deceased) and renowned Paris based artists Chen Jahong
The guest list includes a combination of serious art collectors, intrigued creatives and forward thinking press. As well as art lovers, both those who recognise their passion and those who are yet to discover it. It will take place on 25th April at 20th Century theatre from 6.30 - 9.30pm
The April event is an invitation, calling all creatives; those that have found their passion, those who are still looking and those who don't yet know they have it.
