Artists For Nepal – local benefit gig for Nepal
Thursday May 21st at the Elgin with music, film and poetry.
Bringing together friends and friends of friends in an evening of arts and music featuring award winning shorts, by local West London Film makers, poetry and live bands to help remote villages in Central and Northern Himalayas, on the Nepal /Tibet borders. A very special group of friends have kindly donated their time, talents and energy to play, sing and engage us in an evening of entertainment and conviviality to coincide with Artists For Nepal events gathering globally to make some NOISE for Nepal.

The event organisers are supporting Dolma Development Fund an NGO and registered charity lead by Tim Gocher with a dedicated team of volunteers including Carla Teixeira and Alvares Kaspar who know the Rasuwa region intimately, and speak the local dialect. Carla will be sharing her recent trip on the night.
Focussing efforts on the invisible people, Dolma Development Fund is the only team who supports the Dalits, outcasts, orphaned and disabled children in this area, with education sponsorship programmes. Tim has pledged to rebuild the school in Dhunche lost in the first Quake.
