TRAVEL INFORMATION The best way to travel to Notting Hill Carnival is via public transport. Many roads in and around the carnival route will be closed from 6am Sunday morning, and will not fully re-open until the morning of Tuesday 1st of September. When traveling please allow extra time for your journey as congestion is sometimes unavoidable, and transport delays and station closures are likely during the carnival weekend. Visitors are also asked to stay safe and remain alert. Keep your belongings with you at all times and leave any valuables at home. Traveling by tubeThe following tube stations will be affected during the Carnival weekend: Holland Park – on Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday the station will be exit only from 11am to 7pm. Ladbroke Grove – closed on Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday Latimer Road – will close on Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday at 11.30pm.Notting Hill GateSunday 30th August – the station will be exit only between 12pm and 7pm. Bank Holiday Monday 31st August – the station will be 'exit only' between 12pm and 6.30pm. There will be no interchange between the Central and Circle/District lines. The Circle and District lines will not stop at this station from 12pm and 7pm. It would be advisable to use Bayswater tube station instead.
Paddington (Hammersmith and City line) – on Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday it may be advisable to use this station instead of Notting Hill Gate or Royal Oak, as both stations will have diversions in place. Royal Oak – will be exit only on Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday between 11am and 6pm. After 6pm the station will close and the Hammersmith and City line trains will not stop at this station.Westbourne Park – will be an exit only between 11pm and 6pm on Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday. The station will close at 11.30pm. Traveling by busLondon buses will run additional buses during the Carnival weekend. Buses will not enter the Carnival area from the first bus on Sunday morning until 3am Tuesday 1st of September.
